  Wow, I didnt know they made movies like that back in the day. You can spot a lot of shots and sequences that look like prototypes of modern films. The film drags a little in the beginning, but once he starts getting tailed, the rest of the watch is so engaging and kept me waiting to see how it would play out.   A struggle between two men. One, facing his imminent death. The other, desperately trying to convince him that he isn't. One, trying to live. The other, trying to survive. One, lashing out at the world around him. The other, fighting the turmoil within himself. How does this film handle this struggle? A combination of tense scenes, sometimes to the point of discomfort. I almost had to skip through the Nell scene in the 2nd act.
