  i really liked this starting out; i thought it was cute and charming and funny! but i felt it fizzled out the more it went on, and i ended up turning it off about an hour in cuz i just wasn't interested in seeing any more. not a bad movie by any means, i just wasn't jiving with it after a while idk. ultimately kinda boring and aimless, which is sad bc i loooove coming of age media and this initially seemed so promising!

  longlegs is like if david lynch directed that one episode of RL stein's the haunting hour
  
  idek how to rate this but i will say it made me feel really unnerved and weird both during and for a while after watching. one of the most unsettling movies i've ever seen for sure. nic cage was terrifying, and the overall vibes were so creepy and isolated and liminal. i loved the cinematography too!!! this is gonna be on my mind for a long time cuz wtf
