  Two stars because I absolutely love the Dracula tale and although I felt like the atmosphere was really delivering and the music as well, I did not enjoy the construction of the storyline at all. Too much Orlok, too little introspection on Ellen. Also I am sick of the expressionistic exploitation of cinematic effects - as if contemporary life was not exhausting enough…

  Unnecessarily provocative and filled with naive stereotypes, this movie is surprisingly good in exemplifying what is wrong about today's cinema: loose citationism, painful visuals and lighting, inconsistent plot and exploitation of highly sexualized male bodies - after a while, it is just boring.
