Beetlejuice 1988
I've never been able to pinpoint the exact reason why, but this movie does practically nothing for me. Aside from his Batman flicks, Tim Burton's body of work seems to consist mainly of visually stimulating yawns, and I think Beetlejuice is the poster child for this phenomenon. A couple good jokes and a good performance can't mask a generic script & dull story. Maybe I'm just a hater, but thinking about the sequel's imminent release is causing my faith in humanity…
