i laughed a lot. love films that make you feel alive with how they observe and live with the characters and Anora was a materclass in this. Sean Baker you are a mad man. Insanely nuanced casting and work with actors, that were cursing and shouting in two languages he doesn’t speak. i have never seen a more fair representation of post soviet culture even in media from post soviet countries.

i can’t believe this is A24s biggest project. such a downgrade from their usual level. narrow and plastic characters, unnecessary and unmotivated moments (the girl jumping cars like what) and the most cheesy ending possible. it had so much potential. i wish the person who made the trailer did the actual film..
