Didn’t really adorn the formula with enough jokes and wackiness to create much interest. Leads were good. Katt Williams was ok but he didn’t seem to really go for it. They should have made SZA’s character more interesting since Keke was the good girl. Or maybe SZA should have been the good one really.

I loved the inversion of having the man end up in a monastery at the end , whereas that’s usually a fate of women as in Henry James. They find being male property unbearable and end up as God’s. In this case the man couldn’t own this woman or secure some property he thought belonged to him in Guanajuato and renounces it all for the monastery. Good melodrama.
