Saltburn 2023
Still one of the most visually appealing movies I’ve seen and act one and two are really good watches. But the reveal and motive of the rest of it just feels bland and uninspiring sadly. It also sets a horrible precedent if the general reception is to “eat the rich” especially when you don’t present any evidence as to why their family deserved their bitter ends other than simply being rich and occasionally acting in transgressions just like any regular human being. BUT, Emerald Fennel has clarified that the main motif of the movie is obsession which makes it immediately more memorable.
