  Nothing made more happy in my decision to not look at a single trailer, blog or poster before seeing this movie. My laughter went into surprise and then the laughs kept coming, even alongside the gore (which would not be something that makes me at all squeamish). As it stands this film is motioning to be in my top 10 of 2025 and I base that decision on rewatch factor. No spoilers here, just go see the film and enjoy.

  A masterclass in black cinema. To me, this is up there with Medicine for Melancholy. Character depth is amazing, color balance of the each scene was stunning and giving more examples of not having to play into stereotypes in order to tell a good story was the chef’s kiss.

  I truly loved the message of this film and visually it was stunning. My only feedback is that there may have been one unnecessary storyline within the film that disrupted the rhythm of the movie and added no real depth.

  Good horror had finally come home!!! Best thing is that I got to see it in a nearly empty theater so all of the elements were perfectly absorbed. The pace of the horror along with the cinematography were perfectly in sync. I will not spoil anything for those who follow me, just go see good in theaters.
