  I have so much more sympathy for both of the bloated and sterile Villeneuve installments as well as the butchered freak ass Lynch version of Dune now that I’m reading the book and realizing the source material itself is such a hot mess. It takes being a good boy and a visionary to even try pulling it all together so I have to love the attempts?

  This is an indisputably abysmal movie but Heath Ledger is so electric, ecstatic, iconic in it I have to rate it highly. One of the most riveting Hollywood performances of all time imho. The times he is on screen are peak cinema. 🃏
