  i watched this on a whim in the third row from the screen, with the picture stretching a little bit beyond my peripheral vision and with my brother who didn’t know (until he looked it up during nicole kidman’s AMC ad) that we were going to watch a horror movie. needless to say! we were in for a ride
  i think that this film is INSANE. in the most wonderful way. gorgeous and enticing and completely chilling and god i’m still thinking about that pigeon

  devastating, and also somehow completely unimposing.

  an incredible concurrence of delicacy and crudeness in the way that it is simultaneously so restrained and also so overwhelming. it is tender and intimate without being sentimental; raw without being gratuitous.
