Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance 2009
This movie reminds me more why I hate Asuka but love Rei! Just seeing the progress of Rei's humanity and understanding how to love which in turn allowed Shinji to have his wish granted despite it being selfish in hindsight. It really moved me in how she describes love and wanting to protect Shinji, that was what made the ending even more somber.
