Ultracop 2000 1995
i see this being compared to Highlander II but more than anything this seems like a nearly beat-for-beat remake of Dark Angel except with John Woo level stunts and pyrotechnics, which WOULD make this an easy 4-4.5 for me but unfortunately the gratuitous homophobia even by 90s Hong Kong standards did dampen my enjoyment somewhat. to be clear i still think this rips insanely hard but i'd only recommend it to hardened movie sickos.

outside of the novelty of the middle school school film project level acting and editing and set design and CGI effects and the supposed 5 million dollar budget (?!?!?!?!) this is an insanely dull slog that feels at least triple its 90 minute runtime.

when my uncle was a prop artist for this movie he tried to stuff Baby's head full of weed before it got flown to africa with him for the jungle scenes, but he accidentally loaded up the wrong head, the one that was staying in hollywood for the on-set scenes. eventually the smell of weed being cooked inside a rubber dinosaur head by the studio lights became unmistakable and someone found it but my uncle was never implicated or at least nobody cared enough to get him in trouble when he got back
