  An absolute delight.

  Paul Thomas Anderson conducts a playful, adventurous melody through 1970s San Fernando Valley.

  The storytelling and dialogue is at once overt and subtle but always deliberate. Sometimes we get the over the top performances of a Bradley Cooper; at other points, we’re left in bated breaths of silence. Newcomers Alana Haim and Cooper Hoffman crushed it while heat check after heat check by some big names provided an interesting juxtaposition to the energetic banality. 

  I’ve had a complicated relationship with PTA over the years. Think it’s time to revisit.

  It is hard to conjure the right words for this film. At once violent and touching, intense and understated, Ducournau crafts a true roller coaster. She makes Uncut Gems feel like a Netflix romcom. 

  I almost walked out, I’m glad I didn’t.

  This is a truly unique work of art that I hope to never experience again.
