Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse 2023
Really honed in on the style, incredibly beautiful movie — story was lacking and all over the place… I wonder how they’ll end up dealing with the next part.
What really upset me was that the characters were so different, weird versions of themselves. The first movie’s beauty was in the simplicity of its characters. The family makes up such a small portion of the screen time, leaving their dialogue crammed and off-putting. They also leaned into some gags too much especially in a couple more emotional scenes and it took something out of the experience.
