Indochine 1992
I think this movie is very limited by its makers so it serves better as a depiction of the French view of their imperialist past then a well told story about the actual imperialism. That view of their imperialism is most painfully obvious in blatantly problematic metaphor that attempts to draw Frances brutal imperialism as a relationship that the Vietnamese broke off. That aside idk that this movie even holds up that well strictly from an entertainment perspective.
