The resolution was a bit weak and I wish Hugh Grant’s religion argument flowed more smoothly into the end but the movie made a surprising choice that impressed me and I liked Paxton’s character growth!

Acting was fantastic, and whenever I find myself thinking I’m loving the flow of a movie it’s often because it was originally a play! And yes I did cry on this plane!
Unfortunately, the characterization felt really shallow for the daughter, missionary boy, and mother. I love a mother daughter relationship moment and it really rang false. I think instead of extended scenes of Charlie eating with dramatic music we could have used more time for some emotional grounding.
