  Loved it so much as a kid and decided I needed to watch this on my 21st birthday again

  This movie has so much heart and nostalgia for me that it might blind me to some of the downsides but I fucking LOVE this movie.   Honestly I liked this a lot more than most. It was not perfect at all but I think there was potential that wasn’t fully reached.   Pretty great action movie with excellent motives. Perhaps the coolest thing about this is how little John does to set himself up. A lot of what we know about the character comes from the enemy since John barely talks. Super fun action movie. RIP the dog 🙏
