God bless Steven Soderberg. Supremely executed spy stuff elevated by Fassbender and Blanchett, who is in full god mode (potential 🐐). Come for the perfectly framed, gorgeous shots of Fassbender making dinner or walking down dark city streets, stay for Blanchett playing psychological games with him in a way I’m not sure I’ve seen in a spy movie. This movie fucking rules!

Eggers and Villeneuve-undeniably great craftsmen who know how to perfectly frame both horror or tentpole action sequences, scaled and detailed in a way that makes what you’re seeing so visceral (I’m thinking of 2 particular blood sucking scenes in this one) you can’t help be gripped.
