    “I’ll make prosciutto outta you!”

Definitely the weirdest delivery of pacifistic commentary I’ve ever seen, but it was fun. The “war turns you into a creature you don’t recognize, barely human, and creates an unnavigable divide between you and the rest of society” thing was so in your face and on the nose that I did laugh a bit. All in all I did enjoy it. What I did find hard to swallow was the lowkey pedophilia. Definitely my least favorite Ghibli so far but who knows, it may grow on me as things inevitably do.

This is sooooo much more delicious upon second watch. Watched part of it with deda for the first time, the rest a few days later at home with lily where I saw this masterpiece the first time. But even still! So perfect. I just love every single person in this movie so much, but Sophie is truly the beating heart of it all. So funny, so warm, so lovely. Will continue to rewatch this one forever.

Watched with Lily after an exhausting week and the fact that I didn’t once feel like falling asleep is a pretty good review in itself. Ariana surprised me! It was lovely! Cynthia is perfection! Side note that braided wig is so delicious and perfect. I walked into this clueless about the musical as a whole and now I’m excited to see the next part. Quite lovely and heart wrenching! (Jonathan Bailey made me cringe really bad though, that song was difficult to get through for me lol)

    “This one’s for you, Rudolph”

Wow this movie just tore me to shreds.

At this point it’s a little embarrassing to review the most iconic movies ever made and just say they’re brilliant, so I’m just not going to say much of anything. Robin Williams is a perfect actor, and Minnie Driver and Matt Damon have the most beautiful faces I’ve ever seen. Lovely. Warm. Beautiful.
