The Elephant Man 1980

I think this is a good first introduction film to David Lynch. A lot less ambiguous than something like eraserhead but with this being a David Lynch film, of course it's going to super unconventional in its own respect. This has so much heart in it and really understands the human condition.

I’m ultimately happy with the way this movie turned out. The book this is based off is literally a masterpiece in my eyes. It’s pretty different from the book but the changes in story are tasteful. They made the messaging a lot more political than it is in the book but with it being directed by Bong Joon Ho I’m not surprised.

City of Love 2023

A very well put together film. It was quite fun to watch. The inspirations of Tax Driver and Nightcrawler are very potent. In a way, it’s like a modern day LA Taxi Driver. It seems the acting was a little stiff at times other than that it was great. The director is hilarious, I hope to see future works from him.

This has been on my watchlist list for a while now. Why haven’t I watched this sooner😫 I’d say that the first half is a bit slow but the dialogue hits so hard. Absolute pure heart and soul poured into this movie.
