    This was a very somnambulistic film centred around the themes of modern society craving human company and somebody to share our thoughts with. I was initially left a little confused as it seemed to be leaning into a crime element, focusing on two Hong Kong cops (cops #223 and #663) unlucky in love, with the first cop falling for a lady who's involved in drug trafficking.

    Quite possibly one of the most sumptuously shot films I've ever laid my avid eyes on, beautifully presented with so much detail in every scene. You can tell they performed impeccable research into the dressmaking industry of the 50s and made it fascinating to observe, not a mean feat for a grown ass man like myself. PTA is indeed a true maverick filmmaking genius.
