Every aspect is great, it's a very engaging film and a big accomplishment in the uniquely ambitious way it tells a story. I didn't have a problem at all with the dinosaur/universe stuff, it brought another layer of context to the movie that feels right here. Yeah, the dinosaurs aren't quite Jurassic Park quality, but they definitely get the job done.

Roger Deakins job on cinematography is fantastic, very few films look as good as this (one of the few that come close is No Country For No Men, which Deakins ALSO did cinematography on). The movement of the camera during the scene where Jesse puts his ear to the train tracks to listen for the incoming train had me in awe. I think what truly makes this film work…Translated from by
