As a Christian, it’s a very powerful, emotional movie that reminded me of the sacrifice Jesus made and how difficult it was. I cried at multiple points, mainly because of the savagery of the Romans and the beauty of Jesus and His mercy to the crowd and thief while on the cross.
I just want to address one complaint I see the movie get. People can mock this film however they want, but it comes from a lack of understanding…
I’m a bit under the weather, and this was the perfect sick day watch.
Nearly every aspect of this movie is perfect. The opening scene is arguably the most iconic opening in cinematic history. The plot is tightly written, the dialogue and exposition is engaging. There’s humor sprinkled throughout the movie, but it’s not as overplayed and comical as in the Last Crusade. The action scenes are gritty. They’re thrilling, even after the umpteenth rewatch.

They did of parody of Cops, referenced OJ Simpson’s white Bronco and made a joke using a drug-running Mexican stereotype.
I’ve seen the first Shrek movie a handful of times before, but I’ve never seen any of the sequels somehow. This is good, but it didn’t quite live up to the original for me though.
This was my first full viewing of a Mission: Impossible movie. I had seen pieces of other movies in the series on television before.
The first two acts are great. In my mind it was shaping up to be a 4 star movie. The espionage and investigating in the first act were interesting, and heist in Langley in the second act was awesome.

The first Sonic movie wishes. This movie does the same thing without the crummy CGI and cringy humor. Follows pretty much the same plot beats: a strange creature meets a family, the family accepts him as one of their own, and the creature has to fight a villain that wants the creature for its physical properties.
This movie had the level of British whimsy that I expected out of Wallace and Gromit.
