  Yeah I don’t get it. We learn literally nothing about the main character. Why should I feel invested in his struggle if I know nothing about him? We spend so much time with one character and are never given any indication of who he is other than maybe stoic and resolute. But we never learn why he is those things. He has virtually no presence as a character. Why is this praised so highly?
