Crash 1996
I don't know if this is a diss but I think this film is Cronenberg's best interpretation of a David Lynch film.
It's very slow and rhythmic, and with the music almost has a noirish quality like Blue Velvet, but it's also very cold and nihilistic, which I don't think matches Cronenberg's other films.
I like the whole dark LA subculture thing, but it's very soulless...
The book is one of the most extreme things I've ever read, much more graphic.Translated from by -
Tuff Turf 1985
Bit of a classic LA high school drama! Plenty of by-the-numbers content - flick knives, synth, a country club, crimped hair, a dead rat in a locker, but it also goes hard and makes some bold choices. James Spader is fantastic as always and it's pretty well directed for what it is.

Inferno 1980
This was my third attempt at watching this and staying awake longer than the opening scene, and it was definitely worth it!
It's not as weird or incoherent as people say in my opinion, it's just very Italian and very interpretive.
It's visually stunning. If they had an exhibition of stills from this film it would be fantastic! I think the only thing lacking is the soundtrack, there's just this silence where a badass, haunting Goblin melody should be.Translated from by -
