Seems I liked this more than most people here but goodness this would have been so much happier as the D+ series it was meant to be.  I guess we’re learning that Disney Animated Canon films need time to cook. And the songs are not great, but they’re at least a damn sight better than Wish’s word salads.

Growing up (and thank goodness I never watched this as a kid; I’d have been scarred for life) I knew this was Roger Corman’s “Jurassic Park” ripoff, but also his movie about bird flu.

Well.  Turns out it is specifically a mutated strain of bird flu that causes human women to lay dinosaur eggs.  I don’t think anything could’ve prepared me for that there plot twist.

Don “Dinosaur Valley Girls” Glut is listed as the special consultant in the credits and if the human women laying dinosaur eggs thing wasn’t his idea, I will lay an egg and eat it.

Maybe this is a controversial opinion but I’m going to say this is the better film adaptation of The Hobbit if only because Thorin and company arrive at Bilbo’s house and get the plot started only two minutes in instead of, if I recall correctly, about an hour and a half.

Heck of a totally accidental “You should just smile more” double-feature with “The People’s Joker”. 😰

Great movie that’s rocketed to the top of my list of Movies To Watch With People Who Do Not Know What They're In For.  After cooking them a nice delicious chicken dinner.
