The Brutalist 2024
It's for sure put well together, has some great performances and love the 30 year spanning of the plot. There were some cool shots and I love the "diss" that the main character pulled off. For such a long well received movie I expected it to hit a little more. Maybe if I can identity a specific thing, I've seen major themes and elements of this movie (the stress of making art, breakdown of the American dream/immigration struggles and especially rich (families) suck) quite a lot in recent movies and I didn't feel like it added too much to any of these.

A lot of fun and great performances all around. Nicely obvious what the movie is really about, just like all Bong Joon-Ho's movies. A little bit more sexual then his other work which I enjoyed. I think it's a little bit cluttered though with the aliens and Trump parody kind of taking over the plot too much in the last act. Really wish it stuck with the replica clone stuff as its main focus, felt like it wasn't explored any deeper then surface level, and there was a lot of unused potential.
