Christ I can only imagine the horrific experiences Polanski must have had with his neighbours.
The Tenant will always be one of my favourites. Like most people, I am constantly bombarded by the anxiety and fears surrounding everyday socialising whether it be with faint associates or total strangers. Polanski evokes these fears with such precision in his apartment trilogy (repulsion, rosemary's baby, the tenant) it makes me think, Roman Polanski is perhaps one of the finest and most consistent Horror…

I don't know what happened but after watching this film a second time it's really starting to grown on me. The schizophrenic close ups and that outstanding score leaves me no choice but to love this film. everything about this movie (namely Pinocchio's psychotic companion "Himiko") is unforgettably bizarre, and for me personally, evokes such visceral emotions. 964 Pinocchio has become my favourite guilty pleasure?, nah fuck it this is my favourite film, it really hits the spot for me.
