Took a couple weeks to digest this one. I didn’t read the trigger warning at the beginning because I wanted to go in totally blind and even though that scene triggered the hell out of me, I’m glad I didn’t know about it ahead of time.

I liked this one but there wasn’t much need for a remake. The updated SFX are great but I think they should have kept it as a mini series. The story needed more fleshing out imo.
Oof. I really wanted to like this and I tried so hard. I still love the actors but this just didn’t work. They all played their characters well and I respect the time the put into this. That being said, I have a few complaints 1)Beetlegeuse is a ghost so he shouldn’t age. They didn’t even try to hide or reduce Michael Keaton/Douglas’ age digitally.
2) The ex wife character was mostly pointless and
3) I called the “twist” 20…
Finally got a chance to watch Wicked and I’m sad that I didn’t see it in theater but so so glad to have seen it at all. This movie is exactly what my soul needed. The performances of Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande are 10/10. I can’t rave enough about this movie. I love it so much and part 2 needs to be released TODAY!
