What was the guy’s appeal? He was tall and in good shape, but that doesn’t beat Antonio Banderas. There is style to this one, but the story is bog-standard. Even the BDSM doesn’t live up to Secretary, and thus it comes off as a fine but unimpressive film about erotic desire in an era where Adrian Lyne’s career has stalled out.
