I don't think I need to explain why this one is bad. What's wild is how good-looking even the worst shit from the '80s is these days, like this is not a good film by any means and I didn't even think it was good when I was six but by god they knew how to light and block scenes back then

That wordless scene where the camera pans over Eddie's desk giving you his entire backstory in under two minutes is one of the most fantastic, understated bits of exposition in cinema. Of course Eddie knows how to do a showstopping slapstick number at the end, he was raised in the circus! He literally grew up a clown! A lesser movie would loudly and slowly explain this stuff but not Who Framed Roger Rabbit, baby; either you pay attention and pick up on that shit or you don't. A perfect film.
Incredibly, this was not overhyped. Holy shit what a flick.
