5 stars isn't enough for this one.
This has to be the best leading performance of my lifetime. I’m not sure I can think of one that comes very close to Daniel Day in this.
Paul Dano as Eli/Paul is incredible as well. He has such a smug, punchable (or more like bash-able) face and a pompous nature about him that’s so enthralling.
After watching the first 15 minutes I kept dreaming about a three hour prequel that follows Daniel…
