5 stars isn't enough for this one.
This has to be the best leading performance of my lifetime. I’m not sure I can think of one that comes very close to Daniel Day in this.
Paul Dano as Eli/Paul is incredible as well. He has such a smug, punchable (or more like bash-able) face and a pompous nature about him that’s so enthralling.
After watching the first 15 minutes I kept dreaming about a three hour prequel that follows Daniel…
“I will consult the bones!”

Death to Burglekutt, that guy fuckin sucks. Val Kilmer is peak and obviously the best part of this movie. Him and Sorsha totally make sense.

For now, it feels as if the Mr. Potter’s of the world are winning in a landslide. But someone such as George Bailey makes me believe that decency will always be triumphant in the end.
A complete ripoff of Mad Max but… wet. Honestly can’t hate it though. Some really great stunts, awesome costumes and Costner is pretty damn cool as fish boy. My fav part was when Costner chucked the kid off his boat for talking too much and when he impaled a smoker with a jet ski. Pretty nice ending too.
