The Wind Rises 2013
Once again, an absolute masterpiece by Miyazaki, this was beautiful.
By far the hardest hitting film I’ve seen in a very long time.
The portrayal of his dreams and his perspective on the world was incredible. However, I don’t think I have the strength to watch this film again, that ending broke me 😭

I thought this film wasn’t bad. The acting and dialogue was decently good, and the set design as well, but its story was incredibly convoluted and honestly quite boring.
The saving grace for this film was the cinematography for me. It had unbelievable shots that were well framed and the depth of field within them was stunning.
Overall, I thought it was decent.

“I was good. I was really good.”
This is an outstanding film with an amazing message about conformity and breaking the chain.
I loved how each character portrayed a way they had to express themselves without being restrained; Neil wishing to act, Overstreet wanting love, Dalton wanting to be unique and Todd breaking out of his quiet shell.
This film was a masterpiece down to its writing, acting and music choice. Unreal.
