The cohesion of sound and sight is simply breathtaking. Adrien Brody hasn’t been this good since The Pianist. Brady Corbet has created a modern American masterpiece. Masterful work.

Ultimately this movie is an acting showcase for Strong and Stan. Strong specifically was superb and ghastly as Cohn. What I was most surprised about was the slight tinge of sympathy for Trump. He really is just an insecure man with Daddy issues. He looked to make his father proud, and when the praise never came, he looked elsewhere and there was Roy Cohn.

The fact that this didn’t get a best director or best cinematography nom from The Academy is a travesty.

One of the most heartbreaking, evocative, and immersive documentaries I’ve ever seen. NoiseCat lets the events and the people speak for themselves; he lets the film breathe. No one has to convince you of anything. By the end of the film you can feel the collective pain of the native people, and the sorrow in what feels like a potentially endless fight for justice.
