Really really good slow burner that ends just right - no bang, just more questions and lives under the public microscope. Thought both the prosecutor and defence were brilliant - trying to pin small snapshots of a vastly complicated relationship into a narrative of whether it was murder or suicide. This is the most ridiculous film I’ve seen in a while. Why did these actors agree to this? What inspired its creation? Why did I find myself weirdly enjoying the insanity of this? The dramatic cliche tropes you could predict a mile off. And yet there I am laughing at the absurdity of it all? We were meant to watch a David Lynch film and yet just ended up viewing this somehow instead. Where on earth did the budget come from to make this film?
