I’d be lying if I said I didn’t enjoy this in parts, but this really is a great representation of why everyone my age who isn’t a horror fan thinks horror films are bad. The oversaturated cheap sets matched with bad acting and a cameo by Eli Roth himself all screaming 2005. Robert Englund steals the show, and is easily the best part but even he can’t make the cast of characters surrounding him anything other than planks of wood…

Metallica: Some Kind of Monster 2004
I was feeling beat up by work today so I really wanted some comfort food. Some Kind of Monster is my comfort food. We are all Kirk, sat between two middle aged warring egos confused and likely stoned as the biggest metal band on the planet decide that St Anger should be over 7 minutes long. It’s absolutely wild to see these giants squeeze every ounce they have into songs that are genuinely difficult to listen to. It’s a perfect music documentary.
