A very good and eye opening look at the conflict that happened (and continues to happen) all over Africa. The West and white people funding and exacerbating local conflicts for greed and exploitation. Excellent acting all around, and definitely not your classic white saviour does it again, Di Caprio is a flawed hero, horrible but does the right thing. Solomon Vandy the true star of the film, imagine your family being refugees and son brainwashed into a child solider?!

The Prestige 2006
How the fuck have I not heard of this? How the fuck does Nolan casually drop Batman Begins, this, the Dark Knight and Inception in the space of 5 years? Back in Action 2025
This is the most ridiculous film I’ve seen in a while. Why did these actors agree to this? What inspired its creation? Why did I find myself weirdly enjoying the insanity of this? The dramatic cliche tropes you could predict a mile off. And yet there I am laughing at the absurdity of it all? We were meant to watch a David Lynch film and yet just ended up viewing this somehow instead. Where on earth did the budget come from to make this film?
