Nobody on Letterboxd seems as bothered by Judy Brown having finger tattoos as I was.
Took me out of a bit, every time there was a close up of her hand and they hadn’t bothered covering the actress’ tattoos which of course she has every right to have, I’m not at all anti tattoo. Just kind of undermines the wholesome vibe if it looks like Judy has been spending her time getting her hands tattooed in house party kitchens.
If they can make a CGI bear make grown people cry, they can cover some tiny finger tattoos.
Micro budget film shot on iPhones and made in a small town not too far from where I live.
Way less of a Clerks vibe than I was expecting, for a film which centres around a video shop. For a film of this budget there are some genuinely decent performances in there too, especially the comedic ones. Obviously it still has some of the clunkiness inherent in a film made with these constraints, but I found it mainly added to the charm and community feel of it. Pleased for all involved that the film, and that the premiere was so successful.

Tbf if he thought that was a good enough essay to hang his entire philosophy of life on he is a pretty poor English teacher.
