Outstanding visuals and sound design. Set, costumes, and even props were meticulous and believable. Dune 2 has the best-looking machines I have ever seen in a movie, period.
Zendaya's Chani and Timothée Chalamet's Paul were both charming, but their performances were uninteresting enough to allow the other actors to truly shine.
Rebecca Ferguson's Jessica serves charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent. She fully embodies a space witch.

I remember watching this on my grandparent's couch while my mom and her dad talked in the kitchen. The corduroy cushions felt so unusual to me then; I wonder what happened to that couch. Cryptids and Scooby Doo were among my special interests as a kid so this was basically the GOAT of cinema to 6-year old me.

Watched this drunk and stoned with a pounding headache in my middle school best friend's living room sometime between 11pm and 1am. It seemed like it was inviting people to make video essays about it. It portrayed the headspace of little kids after dark very well, but this was sadly a lonely stroke of genius.

Legendary anime film yet ending left much to be desired. Conceptually super cool and I loved the machinery/weapon design. I can easily see how those not immediately sold on the visuals and worldbuilding will not retain interest in this movie for the duration.
