This film feels very much like a made for TV movie. I'm kinda surprised it got a theatrical release. Matthew Broderick as evil Inspector Gadget is easily his liveliest acting performance. That being said, he still isn't that great in this. However, the practical effects and enjoyably dated cgi makes the film memorable, though I think they could've utilized that a lot more. I didn't like the original "Twister," so I had my reservations about watching a sequel to it. But I've got to say, this film was really good.
Great acting, great script, great soundtrack, well shot, and most importantly, there was a large emphasis on using practical effects in this. Not 100% practical effects of course, but far more than you'd expect to see in a movie released in the 2020s.

Today I had the pleasure of seeing this film in person at a theater screening where John Waters himself provided comedy. It's interesting to see a filmmaker riffing on his own movie.
This film lives up to the hype. It's hilarious and heartwarming, and one of the few John Waters films that the whole family can enjoy.
