  Last night I watched The Fox & the Hound for the first time in about 20 years. It holds up very well and hits a lot differently as an adult, but it has a couple of glaring issues that kept it from being top tier:

  * mickey rooney & kurt russell should've switched roles. The voices don't fit their characters personalities after seeing them as children.
  * they should've killed off Chief, the older dog. He barely appears in the film afterwards,…

  Sort of a spiritual sequel to "Freaky Friday," this was a very cute movie.

  Today I had the pleasure of seeing this film in person at a theater screening where John Waters himself provided comedy. It's interesting to see a filmmaker riffing on his own movie.

  This film lives up to the hype. It's hilarious and heartwarming, and one of the few John Waters films that the whole family can enjoy.
