seems like this could become an amazing trilogy. insane aesthetics paired with what is now my favourite scifi soundtrack I still don't know how I feel about the choice of actors but overall I was very satisfied (I have not read the book, yet).

It's weird that the Italian stereotype is still somewhat based on this, but maybe we never redeemed ourselves with a better movie.
I have mixed feelings about the glorification of the mafioso family. I see how Michael's (Al Pacino) character development and this strong sense of "justice" enhanced the highly violent scenes, but I couldn't not obsessively pay attention to Marlon Brandon's accent and his fucking jaw, which ruined the spell for me.
Ennio Morricone, as per usual, masterfully created…
