    I watched this in not necessarily ideal watching conditions:
    - with a group of friends, half of whom had seen it before (I hate anything that remotely resembles a spoiler, even “this next part makes me so sad”, I just want to be able to experience it for myself without expectations)

    I always forget how much death there is in this one, and how much they don’t leave up to the imagination. 

    A masterpiece.

    Camp.

    Both in the sense that it’s so over the top and in the sense that we did this story at a week of camp last year and this isn’t far off from how our skits went (we actually did the opening number the first night).


    Sounds amazing, but this style of musical film isn’t necessarily for me, I’ve seen a few productions of this live and I do love it.

    Oh brother, this guy STINKS!

    John Cusack is an insufferable, pretentious vinyl store owner who whines about his troubles with women (which 95% of are his fault) for 2 hours. 

    A handful of genuinely funny moments (most of which include Jack Black).


    Clerks if it was set in a record store tbh.
