Pretty fun movie in the moment that I probably won’t think about too much ever again. Good setup of a serial killer support group that I wish they stayed with a little longer. They kinda just jumped away from that premise pretty quickly to turn it into another kind of movie. Quite self aware. And the lead is either just a super annoying guy in real life or does a helluva job acting here. Because he is definitely super annoying.

This movie is one of those review-proof movies. I can see my wife giving it 0 stars but I can also see my 20 year old son giving it 5 stars - if they were to ever watch it. “Hang onto your boobs girl, it’s gonna be a bumpy ride.”

Dead Bernie from Weekend at Bernie’s put the almost-dead brain of Brian O’Conner from The Fast and The Furious into a mechanical dinosaur who then goes on a killing spree before trying to reunite with Bond girl Christmas Jones. Quite a movie.

Well, that was very effective. Can’t say I’ve ever seen quite a red-drenched movie like this one. And the soundtrack just ratchets up the sense of extreme discomfort to levels that I’m not sure I’ve ever really experienced before. From the very get go, the screeching sounds just make you grit your teeth in a way that doesn’t allow you to relax for the entirety of the film.

Part of me wants to go watch the remake now and part of me really doesn’t. But I’m sure I will soon.
