A well made documentary and an interesting story but I don’t feel there was much I learnt from the doc that wasn’t revealed in the trailer

Léon: The Professional 1994
whilst watching i was able to see it from an innocent perspective, and ignore the pedophilloic undertones and appreciate the relationship between Leon and Mathilde. It's true that young girls sometimes fancy older men, and the older man in this film ignores her crush and treats her as a child, clearly seeing that she is confused. However. After finding out about the directors past of marrying actual children and and the original script containing a sex scene between the two I can't help but think this is a pedo's fantasy which was made palatable for audiences
