Everyone talking about how violent it is. It really isn't, it's gory is all. Our first piece of action comes 45 mins into the film and first real scene of violence well over an hour. It only really gets violent at Redleaf, which is over 90 minutes into the film. But when it does, oh boy. It's beautiful.
This is an ugly ugly film. It hates you for even looking at it. But you can't tear away from it.
Needed more violence.
This film reeks of Chinatown. The only way it could be more Chinatown is if someone said, "Rehne do, yeh Rajasthan hai"
That said I absolutely loved it. So dark, so thrilling, so funny. It's an absolute gem and it's very tightly woven. A beautiful film.
Easiest five stars I've ever given.
Bawled like a baby at the end, perfect feel good film. Just leaves you so happy and full. Also, really glad that a mid budget Hindi movie gets a full audience in its third week in a small city.
