You can see Jonah's influences from the first minute of the film, and some will knock that. They'll inevitably compare this film to Slacker or Kids, and stylistically that may be true.
But while not as tight or polished, this movie has more of a heart than Kids, and tells a less obvious story than Slacker.
It captures the feeling of youth incredibly well, the feeling that every moment is incredibly important, but also that it means nothing at the same time.
The acting is fantastic but at times the script is heavy handed.
This movie isn't perfect. But it is made for me.
