the thing about movies that have influenced many filmmakers is that you can’t help but draw parallels. if i had a nickel for every time a man decided to knowingly live in a false reality just because it was “perfect”, well.
(also, got distracted early on in the film because young burton looked exactly like niles crane and then present burton looked just like frasier crane, it was uncanny)
