    I like puzzling it out after! I could probably devolve this review into the metaphysical minutiae, like parsing that the people in control are probably just extensions of Diane's fantasy rationalizing reality so that she comes out innocent and wronged. Which is why they force the director to pick Camilla, when Betty was so clearly the choice!

    Or that Betty and Rita at the start of the movie could easily be spirits of Diane and Camilla puzzling out Camilla's death,…

    When Jimmy Hoffa started dancing with DeNiro's daughter, I started tearing up as I had a moment where I connected to the movie in a grandiose, emotionally raw way. Just as that was happening my mom came over and asked me what I was watching.

    I had to emotionally blunt myself and say "yeah Al Pacino and De Niro are in this movie".

    I can't describe it well, but I was just bored. No 'aha!' moments or 'woah- that's boss!'.

    The only memorable scene that geniunely made me laugh and enjoy the movie was when Benoit solves the false murder.

    My advice, just watch that clip on youtube and you've got it.

    I went in this film with very low expectations, to the point that I was sure I was going to be in a bad mood in a sel-fulfilling prophecy kind of way. "I'm a fully formed adult, why would I want to watch this".
