Holy fuck CGV, god I hate censorship so much. It lessens the experience of watching this on a big screen but anyway I still give it 4,5/5!!
This is a satirical take on “aging” body & image from hyper-capitalistic society at large. It’s unsettling, disgusting, confronting, comedic, disorienting & terribly bittersweet at the same time. Truly a batshit experience you don’t wanna miss! Altho I lowkey want it to be a little more crazier 😩

What a complete waste on one of Japanese’s most iconic characters. Started pretty promising but crumbled for most parts of the story with surface-level dialogue and weak ass plot. Hakaider looked very pale, uninspiring & out of steam. Even a decent fight sequence & cinematography couldn’t save this disasterous project.
So glad that I came across this randomly, turned out to be AMAZING. Definitely my kinda coming of age film with a good mixture of absurdity, teen angst, family dynamics & hilarious yet bitter consequence. Dang, I really miss the video shop.
